Rene Riley Rene E. Riley

Rene E. Riley is the editor of The Trail Rider, as well as the digital magazines HorseLink and Hitch Up! A lifelong horsewoman with 22 years’ experience in the equine-publishing field, she’s the former executive editor of Horse & Rider. She also was the editor of Equine Business Journal, Equine Veterinary Management, and Your Healthy Horse, and has held top editing positions with Western Styles, Equestrian Retailer, and Western Lifestyle Retailer. She resides in Evergreen, Colorado.

Cindy Foley Cindy Foley

Cindy Foley is the editor for Horse Journal since its inception in 1994. Prior to that, she was assistant editor at The Chronicle of the Horse for eight years. Her background includes many years as an assistant manager at a major rehabilitation and training clinic in Lexington, Ky. in addition to showing in the hunter/jumper ranks. Still an active horsewoman, she’s currently struggling with dressage.

Jayne Wilson Jayne Wilson

Jayne is a native of Great Britain and has ridden, cared for and loved horses all her life. She studied the British Horse Society’s curriculum, taking the “Stages” exams in Stable and Horse Management. Now based in Texas, Jayne owns Annapolis, a gracefully aging Thoroughbred, and Star, a black Percheron.

Tiffany Mead Tiffany Mead

Tiffany Mead is an avid horseowner who competed in 4-H and western all-around events in local breed horse shows. Currently working towards her AQHA and APHA judge’s cards, she has judged 4-H and open shows in the Colorado/Wyoming area for more than seven years. As a teenager, she worked at a boarding/lesson barn where she was a ranch hand and trail wrangler. She resides in Denver, Colorado.

Cate Lamm Cate Lamm

Cate, an avid horsewoman, has been a part of Colorado Horse Rescue ( for 10 years. There, she’s served as head of the adoption committee, has acted as general manager and now works as a rehabilitation trainer. Lamm has owned a number of her own rescue horses and has 20 years of equine experience. Based in Longmont, Colorado, she’s also the editorial assistant of The Trail Rider (, sister publication of
