November 10, 2009
by Bob Welch

This week, we'll look at rodeo’s classic event, saddle bronc riding. Each year since 2005,
with the possible exception of last year, a young, newcomer has taken the title
(Jeffrey Willert, Chad Ferley, Taos Muncy and Cody Wright). That trend could
definitely continue with Jesse Kruse this year. Although, I think Cody DeMoss is
going to give him a serious run for his money this year. But, more importantly,
what do you think? Here’s how they’ll come to Vegas.

We just received some news today that was too late to make it into our
December Wrangler NFR preview issue, but will have a huge impact on the world
title race. In the team roping, there will only be two loops allowed per team
per run. It might slow things down a bit, which might give an advantage to a
different kind of roper. Still, this won’t affect the best of the best. So, with
that being said, how do you think it will affect the roping? Who do you think will win? Does it change your pick? Here are the pairings and
earnings.
Team Roping Teams
1. Chad Masters ($127,749) and 1. Jade Corkill
($118,277) 2. Luke Brown ($105,442) and 4. Martin Lucero ($90,989) 3.
