Vaulting is the equestrian sport involving gymnastic exercises done on the back of a moving horse. Vaulting can also be described as gymnastic maneuvers performed on the back of a cantering horse. Vaulting can be official or unofficial competition, with riders competing individually or in teams. Various vaulting maneuvers include ‘flag’, ‘mill’, and ‘scissors’.
